I am reminded here of the story of the two wolves. One wolf is associated with goodness, JOY, PEACE LOVE, HOPE SERENITY, HUMILITY, KINDNESS, BENEVOLENCE, EMPATHY, GENEROSITY, TRUTH, COMPASSION, AND FAITH." The other is associated with evil ANGER,
ENVY, JEALOUSY, SORROW, REGRET, GREED, ARROGANCE, SELF-PITY, GUILT, RESENTMENT,
INFERIORITY, LIES, FALSE PRIDE, SUPERIORITY, AND EGO.
God is associated with the higher mind, or the human potential to act in such a way as to act with the qualities represented by the good wolf and The Devil is associated with the qualities represented by the evil wolf. The former represents the concept of dualism. If we act with the higher mind we build up. If we act with the lower mind we tear down. One brings a positive result, the other a negative result.
We are all dual creatures. We all have the capacity for good as well as the potential to do evil. Dualism is the view that the mind and body both exist as separate entities. Descartes / Cartesian dualism argues that there is a two-way interaction between mental and physical substances. If we act in a positive way the body will be healthier and happier - the body is affected by one's attitude. If we act in a negative way the body responds to that state of mind in that the body will be more susceptible to illness and depression. This fact is born out by many scientific studies on health and wellness.
I am also reminded of the proverb, "If you seek revenge, dig two graves, one for yourself. Seeking to harm others has consequences on the psyche. Wishing harm to others opens one to negative influences. I always say, hate is hate, harm is harm - if you justify hate or harm to others in one circumstance it makes it easier to allow oneself to justify hatred or harm in other circumstances. The more one does something negative the more desensitized one becomes to negativity. Why do you think there are so many charms, talismans, and amulets that guard against evil?
My business is using symbols to help people feel better and be more successful using the brain’s ability to do what it naturally does and is backed by Neuroscience. Yes, it is magical the things we can achieve if we just hack our brain’s natural capacities. https://www.atlgothworks.com.
